Getting Started - How Will You Communicate?
Notify your members of each meeting.
- If your group is made up of friends and neighbors, the host/hostess can just send them a reminder email, or give them a telephone call with the details of the next meeting. Even a relevant reminder postcard can be fun!
- Define and use a free email group such as those on Google or Yahoo.
- Office groups can be notified by posting a flyer on the bulletin board at work. Or you can send them all an inter-office email.
- Remind your church group by posting the information about the book club meeting in the weekly bulletin.
- And those groups meeting in coffee shops etc will most likely need to check the bulletin boards there for the flyers. If members who come on a regular basis want to give you their email address they can be reminded of the next meeting and book that way.
- And do not forget, communicating by Facebook and/or other social media!
