DU JOUR
According to Dictionary.com a definition of Du Jour is: fashionable;
current. Book clubs, also known as reading groups or book groups, are fashionable and current these days! And there
are all kinds being formed every day. We all have friends who belong
to at least one book club, and sometimes more, according to their reading
interests. |
REASONS
There are many reasons people join book clubs:
to share what they’re reading with others
to find out what others are reading
to read books they might not choose to read on their own
to meet new friends
for a fun social activity
Book Club Du Jour is a web site where you
can find all kinds of information on how to start a new book club or
revitalize one you already attend. As an added bonus, you will also find booklists with great reading suggestions. |
SUCCESS
Using my years of experience helping patrons with their reading needs
at a large public library system, information on this web site should
help you with all the questions you might have plus give you ideas
to make your group a success. I’ll share lots of tips I’ve learned
through the years as well as lots of booklists. |
